2. Purposes, data categories & legal bases

  • Provision, security and technical stability of the website.
  • Handling of contact requests and business communication.
  • Consent-based web analytics with PostHog including session recording.
  • Operation of the chat widget on the Webagent pages.
  • Compliance with legal obligations and assertion or defence of claims.

Under Swiss law, the legal bases include in particular your consent, the initiation or performance of a contract, overriding legitimate interests and legal obligations.

3. Cookies, local storage & consent

We use local storage for technically required preferences and a consent status. This includes in particular the cookieConsent entry to store your banner choice and theme for the light/dark display mode. Analytics features are only activated after your consent.

4. Web analytics with PostHog

If you consent, we use PostHog (PostHog Inc., EU instance: eu.i.posthog.com) to analyse website usage. This may include page views, clicks, scroll behaviour, device information and session recordings. If you decline, consent-based analytics remain disabled and session recording is not started.

5. Chat widget on the Webagent pages

On the Webagent pages we embed Google Dialogflow Messenger (df-messenger) as a chat widget. When using the widget, your inputs, technical metadata such as browser data, language settings and connection data, as well as generated responses, may be processed. On the client side, the Google Cloud region europe-west6 (Zurich) is configured. Please do not enter sensitive or specially protected data in the chat.

6. Contact form & CRM

When using our contact form, we process in particular your name, company, e-mail address, phone number, area of interest and message. The data is transmitted to the endpoint https://crm.outcept.ch/contact to handle your request and is used internally for offers, contact follow-up and project handling.

7. Recipients & service providers

We use technical service providers for hosting, font and infrastructure delivery, web analytics, chat functions and CRM processing. These include in particular Hetzner Online GmbH, PostHog, Google services (gstatic.com, Google Fonts and Dialogflow Messenger) as well as our CRM endpoint at crm.outcept.ch. Data is only disclosed to the extent required for the respective purpose.

8. Cross-border data transfers

Depending on the service provider used, data may be processed in Switzerland, in the EU/EEA or in third countries. Where required, we ensure appropriate contractual or statutory safeguards for an adequate level of data protection.

9. Retention periods

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose, for communication with you or due to statutory retention obligations. Technical logs are generally kept only briefly to ensure stable operation.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include in particular encrypted transmission, role-based access and operational safeguards.

11. Data subject rights

You may in particular request information about your personal data and request rectification, deletion or restriction of processing. Consent may be withdrawn with effect for the future. For privacy matters, please contact [email protected]. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

12. Changes

This privacy policy will be updated if our processing activities, the services we use or the legal situation change materially. The version published on this website is authoritative.

4. Cookie policy & local storage

We use technically required local storage for the functionality and appearance of the website as well as consent-based analytics features. On your first visit, a banner is displayed through which you can accept or decline analytics features.

Technically required entries include local storage of your consent decision and your theme preference. PostHog analytics features are activated only after consent. If you decline, no consent-based session recordings are started.

Examples of storage entries / identifiers used:

  • cookieConsent – required, stores your banner decision.
  • theme – required, stores your display preference.
  • ph_phc_* and comparable PostHog identifiers – used for web analytics only after consent.

Details on the service providers used and possible data transfers can be found in the privacy policy on this page.
